Make--it Stop!

Make--it Stop!

A Poem by Erika Jones

Take me away

from this darkness

and steal away

my soul before
he kills it.

This pain is too

much for me to

bear much longer

in hopes that you

end it now.

Stop this madness!

Make--it stop!

Make--it stop!

Please, save me!

The knife in his

            hands brings forth some

                        of the worst kind

            of pain I’ve ever

felt before.

Making the blood

            flow freely through

                        his fingers and

            nut of my flesh,

never stopping.

Stop this madness!

Make--it stop!

Make--it stop!

Please, save me!

The shocks that my

            system takes is

                        a lot for me

            to fight against

much longer.

The electric waves

            Coursing through me

                        Is enough to

            Kill most people

I’m special.

Stop this madness!

Make--it stop!

Make--it stop!

Please, save me!

He keeps drowning

            me in this pain,

                        unrelenting,

            and he can’t seem

to end it.

The water that is

            surrounding me

                        is my failed life

            before he took

me away.
