Am an open Vase

Am an open Vase

A Poem by Jayson

Am an open vase

and a rare race

sometimes a menace

but i would rather be a nutcase

and skate on thin ice

than play nice

just to save face

i would rather cut to the chase

and fall from grace

than pay the price

of making the same mistakes twice

I am a misplace

mostly a mess

out into the outer space

my thoughts found a resting place

like white on rice

a fools paradise

where i can safely touch base

and just be an open vase

not here to impress

i choose to express

am with more than less

so i walk on this rocky road to success

on this game of chess i obsess

and stress never done or guess

There's a lot i want to posses

and a lot more need to readdress

i refuse to suppress or be suppressed

i need access to just be myself

and progress

for if my heart aches

i would rather be an open vase
