A Single Stone

A Single Stone

A Poem by Bliss
"

I wrote this poem after I buried my daughter whom was stillborn on September 11, 2002.

"

A single stone on plotted ground, a desperate cry without a sound.

I bring you flowers throughout the day and through my tears, at night, I pray.

"God, please show her that I care, that my heart is full because she is there.

Tell I wish that she were here and I dedicate to her my every tear."

A single stone on plotted ground indicates the peace we both have found.

Bliss
Please be honest. This poem means the world to me because I dedicate it to both my daughter, whom it was originally written for, and my grandmother who passed away this summer. They both made up my world.

my admiration for you as a writer as well as a nice human rose to peak i read this piece. Believe it or not my thoughts went for my mother who attained her eternal bliss three years ago. Hey...i almost wept....

Gosh I must say this really moved me deeply... I can't imagine the pain you went through during that difficult time but you emotions came through clearly in this piece.
