Eventually I Found It

This is a short little story about a strange feeling I got. It’s not ment to be the greatest thing ever written, but maybe someone out there can relate.

The strangest thing happened tonight. As I lied awake in bed, nothing but the black of night and the hum of the air conditioner around me, I got this feeling. It was a funny feeling. One that took me a little while to get a grasp on.

Eventually I found that grasp.
You know when you’re staying in a hotel, or camping, and you get that feeling of things around you being different, and you can tell, by sheer feeling alone, that you aren’t at home, where you’re supposed to be?
That was the feeling. It didn’t feel like I was at home, where I was supposed to be, where everything was okay. For some reason, it felt as if I were a million miles away. It’s a weird feeling, one that I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to explain it any better than this.
