Nobody’s Listening

Nobody’s Listening

A Poem by Hunter Mullis

Throughout my days I’ve noticed things here and there,
I’ve noticed that no matter what I say,
Nobody’s listening.

Whether I say something useful or worthwhile
Or take the time to talk about something personal, nobody’s listening.

I could say anything,
I could say that I’m finally about to put an end to things
And nobody would hear me.

In the end,
Nobody’s listening.

Maybe they’ll listen if I give them something to see.
