Love/Overdose

Love/Overdose

A Poem by BlueZan

Your voice is like that hit

just before I've done too much and

your silence is quiter than

the sound of my own heart stopping.  Your

cold shoulder freezes more

than the ice bath I wake up in and

your name tastes worse than

charcoal shoved down my throat.

Loving you was worse than

a heroin overdose and only

slightly more beautiful

than death.
