A Hundred Times

A Hundred Times

A Poem by Jaci

I tell myself a hundred times
a hundred times
to each problem there is a solution
though lost in the heart of the maze
and wrong turns lead to dead ends
the correct path will eventually be found
leading to a brand new day
when anger threatens with unreasonable clouds
laden with blackened acid rain
I tell myself a hundred times
a hundred times
thoughts will clear
the sun will shine
signs will be posted for you to find
in our secret childhood tongue
the road to freedom we all deserve
and no one has the right to deny
