Lonesome Fetter

Lonesome Fetter

A Poem by Bobisnotmyuncle

Trapped and confined under dense iron chains

they clatter and bang

the resonance of their echoes seem to be my only friends

my stringent, masochistic friends cannot satisfy

my yearning, my hunger, my appetite

they can only offer me the painful remembrance that

I'm hungry

how thoughtful of them
