Goodbye, sweet Toyota

Goodbye, sweet Toyota

A Poem by Bobisnotmyuncle

It bellows and howls, rocking back and forth.
It does not know who or what is the cause.
It only knows that it is in pain.
A pain it remembers no doubt.
It remembers a time of joy and fondness for life.
The asphalt it trekked upon was a good surface to employ its powers.
 It did this well too.
Things change; they break and wither into dusts.
Its heart has been penetrated too deeply to heal, and it knows this.
A new life may be in store.
It's hissing and grinding is all too obvious.

Goodbye, sweet Toyota.

interesting read Bob. a grand theme. One small thought? Have or did you consider personalizing the "it" to a he/she/they pronoun to give the poem a tighter sense of loss?
