Bath Time

A Poem by BoilingWriter
"

A short poem about a sexual assault survivor

"
A normally happy time
Now dripping in anxiety
She washes away the hurt

Scrubbing at red skin
Long past being clean
She rids herself of evidence

Not looking down
She doesn't want to see
A body tainted by his hands

A normally happy time
Now the tub is drained
She sits, empty and alone
