Sins and Synergies

Sins and Synergies

A Poem by Bones-Guts-and-Flowers
"

part of an incomplete Greek myth series

"
They say Icarus wept as he fell
But I doubt that he could with Apollo’s kisses on his cheeks
Burnt wings burnt hair burnt all over
His
Exit wound in a foreign nation
‘Wie viele habe ich für dich verloren?’

Missed calls, missed layovers, missed connections
Perhaps we are to know more than we do

Instead of comforting words, they called out his weaknesses and losses as Icarus fell
Is love really weak?
Maybe this time I’ll stay strong.
