I

I

A Poem by Bonjee

Where did your riches go?
All the charms you had,
To what did you owe?
Now you fly low.

Nobody is richer than yesterday,
And poorer than tomorrow.

Once you'd stand tall.
Now you grow small.
Once you'd look down.
Now you lost your crown.

I'd rather be far away than far behind.
I'd rather soar than sink.

Where did your dreams go?
All the tomorrows you had,
On what did you waste?
Now you have no taste.

Nobody has greater debt to anyone,
But than the debt to tomorrow.

Once you'd open every heart.
Now you lost your key.
Once you'd think to be smart.
Now you face the reality.

I'd rather be peace than a war.
I'd rather be a solution than a problem.

Where did your mind go?
All the games you played,
For what did you win?
Now you are losin'.

Nobody is more dead and alive than yesterday,
Farther and nearer than tomorrow.

Once you'd get everything you want.
Now you've got nothing to flaunt.
Once you'd dress for the crowd.
Now you are wearing your shroud.

I'd rather dwell in the future than the past.
I'd rather shine than rust.
