Back into the Dance

Back into the Dance

A Poem by BonnyRivers

When you cannot feel the sunlight, even though it lights your face;

When belonging is for others, leaving you without a place;

If every moment is a struggle, just to take another step
and you don’t know where to turn or how to seek out help;

If memories surround you, making breaths so hard to take -

yet morning comes, another day and you don't want to wake.

Know you’re more than just a number, a nameless face somewhere in the crowd.
You're a person with value and meaning, one day you’ll make yourself proud

As a parent, a child or a lover, a friend as of yet you don't know;
Just ease your way out of the darkness, allow your spirit to grow.
Around every corner a new day, is waiting to bring you a chance,
to show everyone what you're made of, to lead you back into the dance!
For no one’s life is perfect, there’s a battle behind every door;
No matter your looks, friends or title - whether you're rich or your poor.
All of us get lost in the shadows, it’s part of the journey of life;
Just know that there’s alway
someone waiting, to guide you back into the light.
