Unspoken

Unspoken

A Poem by Brad Nugent

A love beyond
such hasty scribbled,
ink-unravelled,
sad-unstuttered
words as this:

besmirched as
pointless poetry,
and fairly so,
all fairy-taled
embalmed in
hard to swallow
bliss.

Beyond all words
yet unrecited,
ill-formed,
still-born
and unrequited,
too scared to touch
an unrepentant
lover's lips;

A silly sonnet,
promised promise -
unwelcome truths
untimely kissed

and writ unthought
with lack of poise,
and justly paused,
precisely this.

Haven't written for a while. Good to be getting back to it. But this is rough. Honest feedback appreciated.
