Life

Life is a rollercoaster,

Always a new corner to turn,

Forever a new thing to learn,

 

Just as you think your good as new,

A loop de loop and a corkscrew or two,

Is thrown on the path just for you.

 

Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide,

So swallow your pride, and reverse the tide,

Remember the grass is always greener,

On the other side.

 

Life is a risk, no dout about that,

Grab the bull by the horns,

And hope you dont fall flat.

 

Give it your all and i'm sure you'll be back.

This is terrific. And so nice to see it's not a love poem. It's funny, bright, clever and simple (but not simplistic). Criticism? The last line, it should be 'I'm' . If a typo is the only thing wrong with this...

I adored this! The first words "Life is like a rollercoaster" really captivated me. It speaks to almost everyone on earth, we've all been through our rough patches and this one really captured how I feel sometimes. It was very simple and didn't make me think hard, but gave me lots of insight, which I like in poems at 5:41 in the morning (when I'm writing this) it was very good and I hope I get to read more from you once I click on your profile :)
