A Message From Dr. Scurvy

A Message From Dr. Scurvy

A Poem by Brian Csati

Up in the attic sat a man with a rabbit,
The man was an addict with a taste for bad habits.
He said to the rabbit,
"I need a fix, and when I'm done I'll turn you to cabbage."
So when he finished he sat for awhile,
He glared at the rabbit but the rabbit smiled.
The rabbit said,
"Now listen to me! I'll be the rabbit and I'll turn you to cabbage!"
The man with the habit was losing his mind,
He tried to run but was paralyzed.
He could not speak, nor could he believe,
That which he was seeing was a hideous beast.
So the beast licked its lips and grew razor-sharp teeth,
While the man with the habit was reduced to a cabbage.
"I am your master," said the beast with sharp teeth.
"You will obey what I do and say."
But the beast ate the cabbage anyway.

The End
