Seasons

Seasons

A Poem by It's_Sky_lmao

Winter approaches

Nights are longer, as are my heart’s sorrows

My soul grows colder with the weather

You’re no longer here

My end draws near

The sharp blade of passion became love’s double edged sword

And thus, I disappear within a single tear

All that’s left is a ghost in a shell

Now Spring has brought the rain

Yet it can’t wash away the pain

Emotionally, I’m drained

Despite what they say, I don’t think Summer’s on the way

But if it were, I’d just melt away

Never to be seen again

Who would notice, you say?

Well, if you ask me

No one would seem to care

Fall is here

I am one with the leaves

Rotting and decaying, I reside on the ground

Waiting to be blown away

Or perhaps to decompose

Either way is fine

As long as I’m taken away from here
