Thief

Thief

A Poem by BrinaMarie

Alright, here I go again trying to rhyme,
So let's start this one with "once upon a time"

Well.

Once upon a time
In an alternate line,
Came word of a crime
And certain is I,

When I say it was committed,
With no question of "who did it?"
Because he blatantly admitted,
And was then simply acquitted,

The crime was done in the name of theft,
In which he performed it fully deft,
He took his prize and out the window it he heft,
So silently as if his dwelling he had never left.

And the item that he chose to take,
Was one that is impossible to make,
It can never be thought as fake,
And must be careful not to break.

And now he has achieved his goal.
For it was my heart that he had stole.
