The Bearer

The Bearer

A Poem by Brittany

It was crushing her.
He could see that.
He told her that it wasn't her cross to bear.
But she had carried it for so long,
How could she just lay it down now...?
Who would catch their tears?
Who would be their shield?
The weight of the world rested heavy on her shoulders.
Their pain echoed in her heart,
Reverberating through her soul.
Empathy was both her blessing and her curse.
She longed to know peace,
But not before the world she so loved.
If they suffered...she could not rest.

My favorite so far. This is just beautiful. I envisioned every single word you had written.

I could tell. There's a lot of emotion in this one.
My favorite so far. This is just beautiful. I envisioned every single word you had written.
