Words you will never read.

Words you will never read.

A Poem by Britt

I have listened to the same song on repeat,
Willing for the inspiration it gave you.
But I am yet to find it,
Because I found my inspiration in other ways.

In the innocence of a smile,
or the coyness of a touch.
In the most soulful eyes I have
ever had the pleasure to share a glance with.

I have read your words a thousand times,
willing for your prescence to return.
But I am falling short,
because you are nowhere to be seen.

At my own hand,
have I lost the heart
I did not know I needed?

I have written words for only you,
praying it will be enough.
But I am aware it isn't,
because you have head it all already.

To reach out to you,
took my all.
And now I'm reaching for thin air,
in the space you used to be.

It was never never it was just not now,
for you it would have been always.
Always would have been the place to start,
but I started at the end

and ended it at the beginning.

At my own hand,
I have lost the heart
I did not know I needed.

Nice creation. I found the last three or four verses particularly poignant and powerful.

Good structure and very meaningfully sad. The feeling of regret you have once that person leaves and finally you realize how important they actually are to you. Beautifully composed.

Love poems seem to be your specialty. :)

This is touching, very sad, wonderfully constructed. I loved this piece a lot. It's a piece everyone could relate to at one point or another
