your eyes

your eyes

A Poem by BrodiLou

If I had the chance to see the world through your eyes, if only for a moment, I would never look.  I would keep them closed while I counted each second until that moment passed.  I would wonder what it would have been like if I had opened them to take it all in.
I would be more afraid to see the pain that you keep hidden within, the beauty and happiness all around, and my greatest fear would be disappointed that I see less or more of it all.
There would be nothing more painful than having to live behind my eyes if I ever had the chance to see the world through yours.

I love it, I read it more than once. I feel the curiosity and fear.
