Thank You

Thank You

A Poem by BrokenGirl

Those hands, that touch, those finger tips.

They bring so much back.

So many painful memories.

The gun on the bed.

The screaming.

The fighting.

The threats.

Your promises.

Thank you for tearing me apart from the inside out. Your face sends me into a flashback.

Back to when I was SIX, SIX, SIX years old.

Screaming in pain and scared to near death.

You silenced me. I relive it all.

I finally come back to reality. I look down.

Red covers my arms, my legs and my floor. I nearly scream.

How did I do that? Wipe up the blood quickly and put on a smile.

Thank you, for totally ruining me.

This couldn’t be what love is supposed to feel like.

Thank you for giving me another reason to die.
