I stare

I stare

A Poem by Let her tell you

This blank page once showed so well,

now covered by my tears can't you tell?

surrounded by fate,

for everyone I'm the one to hate.

I cry a storm,

my heart is warm,

fear is in the air,

drops through my hair.

i scream, and stab, and hurt,

I'm left there alone in the dirt,

Don't know why i'm so beat,

left alone to walk this street.

Where do i go?

I just don't know,

why make me feel so low?

I'm crying..

I'm trying...

i need a sign, a glare...

deep down inside I'm dying,

but then.. i stare....

I like this poem, for it expresses, to me, that feeling of daydreaming that we often have when we're lost in our own thoughts, because we have so much going on in our lives, or we're reflecting on and formulating ideas trying to paint that precise mental picture; or the feeling we writers experience as 'Writers block'.

WELL DONE!

This expresses to me that us as writers will get lost in what others expect of us until we stop and look at what made us happy in the first place. Writing. I gave up for a long time and I felt lost. Thank you for this.
