Humility

Each generation blames the other,

both have their faults but need another.

Being young or old doesn’t mean one is wise.

Wisdom comes when God opens our eyes.

Our eyes will be open if we’re willing to receive,

giving no place to the devil to be able to deceive.

By accepting God’s reproof, and correction,

We’ll never be led in the wrong direction.

If we would only take heed to when He calls,

have an attentive ear, not always yakking our jaws.

Take the time to hear what He has to say,

and be willing to obey.

Surrendering, laying down our pride,

allowing Him to be our guide.

Humbling ourselves before His presence.

Honoring Him, giving Him reverence.
