A Poem by Brylee S. Hoffman
"

school project, please give feedback :)

"

Light was shed on the darkness of my heart

I was enlightened to love and not hate

Never could have thought we would ever part

The captivating glimmer met its fate

I surrender with the tip of my quill,

deep wounds left behind, etched into my soul.

Memories remain forever and still

Your cruel masquerade has taken its toll

But not even sweet, torturous darkness,

can ever bring me down to the depths of you.

For you, kind sir, will always be heartless

And with myself, I must always be true

I don’t have a single ounce of regret.

The times we had, I will never forget.

I like how you rhymed this poem perfectly. :) I like it..I like how it was so bright in the beginning, and dark in the end. I like the contrast.
