Our Generation

Our Generation

A Poem by Bryn_Blossom
"

A poem about my generation

"

Our generation has it hard.

There is so much peer pressure for teens to drink, do drugs, and have sex.

It is normal to see high schoolers drunk

It is normal to see middle schoolers high

It is normal to see elementary kids cursing

Girls feel pressured to have sex and boys feel pressured to get drunk

Its normal to hear about teen pregnancy

Its normal to hear about another school shooting

Its normal for students to fear going to school

Its normal to see elementary kids to have phones

Its normal to see elementary kids commit suicide over cyberbullying

Its normal to see kids being arrested

Why can’t we go back to a time where we only had to worry about colors for friendship bracelets?

Interesting how times change. When I was in high school, all I had to deal with was the Cuban missile crisis and a presidential assassination.
