Forgotten

Forgotten

A Poem by BrynnaW.
"

Not my usual style but still pretty good. (written last year, I like to think I write better now XD )

"

You, who watch, with an upward gaze,

Eyes more dull than the clouding sky.

The water swells over that frail body,

Your skin as pale as your bones.

You, who sees not, with gaunt cheeks,

Body of no use but food for fish.

The watch in your pocket tells the time,

But you no longer tell the story.

You, who had found much success,

Met the end so quickly.

The sea froth cared not of profit,

As it expanded of the body you once had.

But you, who claimed to be too young,

Still met the clutches of Death,

At the hand of the water that carried you.

Beware, all others, just as näive.

You, are forgotten.

Sorry, "Death By Water" was written by T.S. Elliot. I forgot to mention that.

You succeeded, the imagery is clear and the mystery is there.
