Sadness City

Sadness City

A Poem by xxxrawr_friendxxx
"

I couldn't really think of a title.

"

You lit our city on fire

You panicked at the slightest flicker

Left me to burn our love away

And now you come back after months of confusion

How dare you abandon me in the wreckage

And try to bring me back to life.

I have scars of weakness

But I'm stonger than you are

I don't understand, I never could

How someone so beautiful

Be so merciless

And have the heart to play me as a fool

I'll admit, I'm a fool for some people

But darling, I'm no fool for you.

I don't want to believe this cruel reality

The fate of what we've come to

When you were lost,

A mere foreigner in the dark,

I was your light

And somehow, you were mine

Who would've suspected this madness

That you would disappear so suddenly

And leave a shimmering glow in our eyes

But I live in darkness

From a beautiful life you destroyed

Some people will do anything

When they can't get what they lust for

But they never figure out

That lessens their chances of getting it.

A quote from"The Dark Knight Rises":

"Few people know what it's like... to be angry in their bones."
