Under the Bridge

Under the Bridge

A Poem by xxxrawr_friendxxx
"

Woo! Wrote this for a contest :3

"

Under the bridge lies my lover,

I found her in the dead of night.

She says, "Leave me under the park bridge

I'm sure it's a lovely sight..."

Her blood streamed out as rainbows,

Almost too beautiful to believe.

I watched the light drain from her eyes

But she'll forever be with me.

Under the bridge lives my lady,

A magnificently upsetting truth.

I never thought someone's one last wish

Could make me feel so uncouth.

The only thing I loved has left.

There's no end to these melancholy days.

I still visit my sweet, sweet princess

But her rotting body leaves me in a daze.

Under the dridge is where I should be...

I should be left to die...

Why didn't I protect my best friend?

I'd switch positions in the blink of an eye...

My lovely little daisy,

Wilted under a blanket of snow.

I am so sorry.

More sorry...

More sorry than anyone could ever know...

Your tone in this makes me assume that you are the killer, and you are very regretful of doing that. Intended or not, I loved that.

My pleasure, hehe.
Beautiful stuff, I see you have maintained the rhyme scheme as Seductive voices of the silent, if you do it this well then why don't you do it more? I'd be interested in knowing what your writing would look like once you've experimented with even more rhyme schemes.
