Forested

Forested

A Poem by PANTHER

Daylight, the full winter moon on frozen snow.
Heart beats life's rhythm in the alpha's blood flow.
To provide for his pack through the woods he tracks.
Suede doe not loved less, but these are hard, cold facts.

Gaunt, naked, disfigured trees cast alarming shadows this night.
Six months either way flourished forest yield the doe's same plight.
Beauty and teeming life of forest's full bloom.
Stripped and stark, still share the same gloom.

As the wolf must fell the deer and it be right.
Trees and brush soak in sun and water last the night.
All in nature strive to maintain the balance of living.
The way humans live life, thank God nature is forgiving.
