Imagination

A toy car for his birthday -
That fancy gift with battery,
And at age four,  I must say
He had his mother's curiosity.

For a whole day it ran around
And held his short-lived attention,
He was intrigued by the motor sound,
The tiny lights from that contraption.

After the laundry had been done
I noticed foreboding quiet reign
I checked quite alarmed on my little man
There he has torn apart his toy... again.

Perhaps like any ordinary mother
I would let anger take the better me
But my son made me smile with his answer
"Mom, the tiny driver I wanted to see."

haha this is a cute poem, it's nice to hear why a kid did something to see what they were thinking. So often parents just fly off the handle which can be very understandable, but some things can be dealt with in other ways. It's fun watching kids play with their imagination, this type of play seems to be disappearing.
