In the NightA Poem by CGrantWhile I cannot see it I am silhouetted And though it is night I am contented The coolness of evening showers my senses In a place save people, noises and fences
The wind washes my body in her bonding way And speaks to me as if to softly pray I close my eyes letting myself be taken A cleansing that leaves my worries naked
But I lie in the air, vulnerable and lovely As I let it surround and spin me slowly Perfect peace preys upon my tired body And a surreal daze leaves the night foggy
The wind lays me upon the soft green grass And I let the coming sleeping slumber pass I dream of a thousand meteors dotting the sky Just to wake to a thousand and one pass by © 2012 CGrantReviews
