Kingdom of Clouds (Queen)

Kingdom of Clouds (Queen)

A Poem by COLLETTE

I’ll write you so many pages of poetry darlin
Enough so we can wrap your angels arms and legs
Scribbling sonnets for your fingertips
Creating prose to wrap your toes
I’ll never stop writing you poetry darlin Jo.

I’ll fill so many books we can make you a bed
Love poems piled into pillows, my promise to you:
the sweetest of dreams in which you know how much you are loved
Until I return to my side of the bed
that the cat now sleeps on.

Baby I swear to never stop with the poems
Even if they don’t rhyme all the time
Or don’t make much sense, just know
Each word that’s weaved into verse
was made from string my love,
Endless
