Lost Inside

Barren lands of dreary greys,

A world that’s lost their time and held at bay.

The living is gone all but one, she watches in mourn.

Trapped behind an invisible wall of misery and heart break,

She watches the winds sweep by, clearing the world of memories that can only die.

Brimming with agony, her smile has gone, her heart has broken.

Her soul perished

Living in a world once cherished, no longer alive

Waiting for her lost love to arrive,

She waits by the door, by walls he's crumbled,

Her facade ripped away.

In a flowing gown of Ivory, with silken strands of ebony atop her head.

She's locked in her tower of ivy and stone.

Broken, and alone

Clouds of thunder, and storms of life

Wander by, they're wondering why

Such a tragic beauty,

With a lonely sigh
