Bilingual

Bilingual

A Poem by ThePoet
"

So many are bilingual without ever speak a word outside of their native tongue.

"

I consider myself bilingual

Because I can read the stories

Of hatred and failure

That are written across my body

And spelled out in my scars.

I am fluent in this language of blood and blades

But I warn against learning it

Because it is a pain filled tongue

That you can never read

Save for what you yourself have written.

Author's Note

ThePoet
Self-harm is not a good thing and definitely something one should seek help for. This was written during a darker time of my life. I in no way support and/or encourage self harm.
