Twenty Years

Twenty Years

A Poem by Celeste Hayne
"

My daughter turned 20 this year and I wrote a poem in her honor.

"

Twenty years have since gone by,
for our special little bumble bee
from birth to now you have become,
a beautiful young woman we see.

The many attributes that you have,
you gained from family and life’s journey,
the love, compassion and sensitive ways,
you’ve shared with others selflessly.

Life has brought you to this point,
but remember to be true to yourself,
with strength, diligence and awareness,
for the enrichment of happiness and health.

Now is the time we celebrate,
although it’s been bumpy at times,
the special bond between moms and daughters
is like blessings with angels and chimes.

Twenty years you are today,
we cherish each moment with you,
with time for us to enjoy and share,
the happiest of birthdays true.
