Amaranthine eyes

Amaranthine eyes

A Poem by Callum

Let me guide you to our special place
let not the moon or stars hypnotize
a momentary distraction of your gaze
give to me your amaranthine eyes
let me steal you away
sparkling in the dark of night
wildly chasing after moonrays

Compact and precise. I like the diction very much and the tone of the poetic persona which created me a very calming mood. I think of this as a love poem wherein there is a yearning of possession to make the passion unfading. Rare it is the eyes of the "you", I cannot think of an eye with a shade of deep purple-red, so I was thinking that this could be the poetic persona's view of how beautiful the mirror of the soul of his/her love.

A beautiful poem. I like the desire and the places the poem took me. Good to chase the moonrays and enjoy the nights. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

Beautiful mystic piece rendering the image of a moment to steal one's breath away.

this is interesting..it can be such a lovely love poem...or maybe there is something amiss...and the other person could be like a spider trying to put the fly under a spell...for evil purposes...

could go both ways....i like this.

Wow thanks! (interesting perception) It's about love, but I like your thinking on this one.

or rather, seduction of love.
Beautiful!..."wildly chasing after moonrays"...I love that thought..
If only amaranthine eyes could be just as hypnotizing as this write..not even close! :)
