Gray

Gray

A Poem by The Poet of Black Wings

I " I, as human - am told of system of codes and laws.

Ethics and matters of choice.

Right and wrong.

It's as I see, there is no clear black and white.

I and we can only find gray.

The argument stands, that there is such a thing as objection, in these matters.

Yet, I do not find it.

You call on the case, murder.

It is wrong, yes, but even then this is subjective.

I would kill a man and be punished, according to law.

I would kill a man and be rewarded, according to war.

We live in a world of grays with only illusions of black and white.

The line endlessly blurred, we cannot hope to find it.

I " I, as human - am told of system of codes and laws.

I, as human, am held to impossible standards set by dead and dying men.

In this ever changing world.

And I wait.

Wait for the new law of man to come, and to pass.

Endless.
