A Certain Way

A Certain Way

A Poem by The Poet of Black Wings

Why do we behave the way we do?

What in our psyche, what in our mind has us act one way or another?

Is it a choice, truly, are we able to be a certain way simply through our own will, or is there more to it?

Do our mothers, our fathers, choose? For us, do they decide what we are, who we will be?

Do they control us so, do what their god cannot?

Are we so malleable?

Or are we simply, us.

Can we nor anyone else choose what we are? Are we destined to act how we do straight from birth?

Are we so... intractable?
