A childs room, a look of sadness

Behind the Door

For a Challenge by Melvie

There behind the Door
Lies the Memories of a boy,
Eyes of coal, hair dark and shiny,

Cries, in the distance,
Only the mother hears.
Tears long shed, memories never forgotten.

A crib in the corner,
Changing table by the window,
Rocking chair near the crib.

Memories lay behind this door,
His room, the one that was to be his.
Base ball bats, fire trucks, toys on the shelf.

The toys never played with,
The Boy was just a baby,
Taken, but never forgotten.

There behind the door lies memories,
Memories of a boy, cries in the night,
Cries behind a door,

Hm. What I see is some images without giving a clear idea of what might have happened to the boy. It isn't connected, and that gives it an incomplete feeling.
