Close Enough

Okay, so basically I write poems with dark themes... which might bring you to the conclusion that I am not really into the concept of "rainbows and unicorns". So.. this piece is one of them.

Dark, so dark...
But I can clearly see.
Weep, I weep...
I didn't want this to be.
Cringe, I cringe...
Just at the mere sight.
Black, pitch...
But it appears so bright

Drops, teardrops...
Gracing the cold marble floor.
Walls, too many walls...
Can't quit looking for doors.
Blood, deep red blood...
Staining those walls up high.
Glance, up I glance...
Heaving an audible sigh.

Too numb to feel, scream me a lullaby.
For they'll haunt me in my sleep,
shattering my hollow smile.
Block away those tears threatening to spill.
I ain't far or near.... just close enough for you to kill.
