Rain

Rain

A Poem by Candy S. Bott

It starts out dripping off the house, onto a forgotten old planter.

Then you see it bouncing a foot off the road.

It washes away the sand that the plow has left behind.

Making it easier for the flowers to push up through the soil.

Birds splash around in the puddles afterward.

The smell is so clean.

I love the rain.

Great imagery in a short poem. When I read I could hear and smell the rain.
