Sunny day

Sunny day

A Poem by Candy S. Bott

Sitting outside book in hand,
Wishing I was in the sand.

Hearing only silence,
missing is the sound of waves.

The sun is bright,
my skin feels tight.

My iced tea is refreshing,
as I sit here just reflecting.

there are birds singing,
from a puddle they are drinking

I 'm feeling nappy,
which makes me happy.

I begin to fade,
my book makes a nice shade.

wakes me slowly
from my daze.
