Not Just a Rock.

Not Just a Rock.

A Poem by Kaspar Carr
"

you are so much then what you think you are

"
I'm not just a rock you see
I'm part of your earth, your soil
Giving birth to your olive trees
Making your oil

I've been shelter for the dead martyrs
Brothers who toiled
Laid to rest with a hole in their chest
Brothers going to rest

I'm the defense of your womenfolk,
When they arrest them and undress them, what are you waiting for?
Pick me up, pebble rebel I'm your lost stock
Your smoking barrel, I'm the bullet for your slingshot

Must have a barrel
Chose me, I was a part of a big boulder
Saluhdin's army catapults,
They threw me over

That's my C.V
Yeah I lost a bit of weight
But lean is the new black

You're denying me my fate
And now I want it back
I don't mean to sell myself,
But these armored tanks
They are nothing

They're scared of me
New ground zero
The foundation of a nation
God's best creation

What is it going to be
Little man let me rock
Bring them tanks I don't give a damn
They have been crushing me for years now
No fear, now pick me up and wipe your tears back
You hear?
