Cry

Cry

A Poem by ChrisP

Was it thirty-six?

I still cannot seem to remember.

I was so tired, dry, nervious

As we waited in silence.

And it wasn't for long

When my life, and yours

Changed for ever.

    In blood and birth.

And to my shame and honor,

I cried.

I like this, it has many hidden oxymorons and deeper meanings. It is simply and shortly stated, but beautifully worded and expressed. Nice job!
