The Giving Tree

The Giving Tree

A Poem by Careline

Sometimes you cling
Onto me,
Grateful to have something
To steady your knees

But after I fix your glasses,
Straighten your tie,
And give you an encouraging pat
You roam off

You come and go
Depends on what you need
Sometimes I feel
All I am
Is a giving tree

Give Give Give
I never take take take
I must rein in
All these feelings
That I make make make

I weep to my Goddess,
She will hear me out
And to Her I am grateful
She I cannot do without

I felt the power of those words. I like this idea of a giving tree...Splendid...:)
