Where They Lie

Where They Lie

A Poem by Carl

Let me drop my anger here

Before it does consume me

Let me drop my anger here

The battle that none see

Let me drop my anger here

The pain that's in my cry

Let me drop my anger here

And leave the splinters where they lie

Let me drop my anger here

This all consuming rage

Let me drop my anger here

I'm chained and in a cage

Let me drop my anger here

My emotions I deny

Let me drop my anger here

And leave the splinters where thay lie

Let me drop my anger here

As it courses through my veins

Let me drop my anger here

As the World explains

Let me drop my anger here

As yet again we try

Let me drop my anger here

And leave the splinters where they lie

Let me drop my anger here

It rises up from deep within

Let me drop my anger here

This long forgotten sin

Let me drop my anger here

A Generations cry

Let me drop my anger here

And leave the splinters where they lie

Let me drop my anger here

As I live in endless night

Let me drop my anger here

As I wrestle and I fight

Let me drop my anger here

As my demons turn to fly

Let me drop my anger here

And leave the splinters where they lie

Let me drop my anger here

I'm scarred and I am bruised

Let me drop my anger here

I'm broken and abused

Let me drop my anger here

I'm parched and I am dry

Let me drop my anger here

And leave the splinters where thay lie

Let me drop my anger here

I need to lay this down

Let me drop my anger here

Before I start to drown

Let me drop my anger here

And begin to walk away

And let me leave my anger here

With the splinters where they lay

let me drop my anger here
abd leave the splinters where they lie

wow, you have managed to express your anger pretty powerfully in these lines. in fact you have done so in most of the lines. but some lines here and there lack the power, especially in the company of their more strong friends......
