The Rat

The Rat

A Poem by Nilyar

Many days I just gaze at the sky, while time swiftly pass me by. Eating away at the time God gave me. Just dreaming about what I desire to be. O! It's a fantasy, yes a fantasy. That's stripping away at my soul, devouring my thought and gold's.  Look how it's eating away at my relationship, just chewing it into bites. Am so spaced out that even my pray life I wouldn't missed.

It's so amazing just to think, how it causes you to hide within. Swaddling in your pain and downright shame, wasting away in poison dreams. Man am living like a rat, just going around in a trap. Not only does it digests your time it makes you feel naked in side. For all that you possess now have holes down in it.

O what a rat, a big rat sin really is. I've now forsaken the one that gives me peaceable victories. To be come victorious over my vain imagination. O! Lord you know I've tried, please let this rat die. Am trying to kill this thing on my own, the more I tried my love for it is known.

Only if I can find the time, just to spend with you, maybe then I'll have the strength to push through. All the missed up imagination that I have going on, just maybe it wouldn't be so strong. Yes, I can break free from the rat that had consume me. The day your love, O God lights up my life, I'll be sure that my rat must take a knife. You'll be cut out for sure because my God has given me and open door.
