Tethered

"
Tied, tethered, and tentacled to
you.
By ropes of desire
and chains of love.
Handcuffed to your soul.
Bound by the boundless
beauty of your face
Imprisoned by your light.
Captive to your laugh.
Restrained by your smile.
Held by your heart.
Enslaved by your submission.
Have the tables turned?
Am I your slave?
Are you my Master?
Is it I who serves you?
I wallow in this wondrous irony.
Tell me, my love.
Are you drunk on this Power?

Being a person who enjoys wordplay, I love the way you came up with so many ways to state & restate your title word. I love the coy playfulness in the "table-turning" sentiments toward the end. Being skittish about claustrophobic love, I usually don't like reading about love this clinging, but somehow you've made it feel comfortable & easygoing (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

About
You have come to the Nom de Plume, of the writer known as, Nipplegrinder. It was suggested that I would receive a more welcoming response, if I hadn't such a repulsive screen name. (Thank you, Lyn.) .. more..
