Moonless lullaby

Moonless lullaby

A Poem by CIR

We know the sunlight always goes

And yet the moon dwindles and grows

But in the dark no fears we know

But when my child begins to weep

I give my heart ,it’s yours to keep

And when you feel you are alone

your heart grows cold like river stone

Hold my heart and shed no tear

You need not weep for i am here

Rest now my child rest your head

Your body sinks into your bed

The shadows wrap and then embrace

They stroke and soothe your tired face

As you drift you wonder how

I whisper soft ,sleep take you now…
